It involves the application of a rigorous food safety control system within the cooperative. The purpose of the HACCP program is to prevent any health risks posed to consumers, thereby providing them with the assurance that our products are safe for consumption. Manufacturing high quality products remains our top priority and under the HACCP system we are able to meet this objective.

April 2009 - The « Fromagerie de Île-aux-Grues » won the Canadian Cheese Grand Prix 2009 in the category Medium Cheddar (aged 4 to 9 months) with its Ile-aux-Grues Medium Cheddar. This artisanal made cheddar comes from an old recipe, developed by the first cheese makers of the island in the 1900s.It is with gratitude that the members and the staff of the cheese factory receive this prestigious prize, which demonstrates once again the excellence of their products.
